
JESSE BIEGEL is the founder of Weirwood Capital. Jesse has over $500 million of transactional real estate experience including a multitude of complex acquisitions, dispositions, and debt and equity financings. Jesse has directed management of over 2,400 multifamily units including both stabilized and distressed properties with various executions ranging from lease-up to major rehabilitation. Additionally, Jesse has guided the entitlement process for multiple mixed-use projects consisting of over 1 million square feet of residential, office, and retail space. Prior to founding Weirwood, Jesse was co-founder of White Oak Capital, a privately-held investment firm based in South Florida. Prior to White Oak, Jesse served as Principal in charge of the Los Angeles office for Fifteen Group, an opportunistic real estate development and investment company based in Miami. Jesse was responsible for sourcing, underwriting, execution, and asset management of real estate investments and development projects.
Prior to joining Fifteen Group, Jesse worked in both Acquisitions and Loan Asset Management at LNR Partners, the leading special servicer of commercial real estate mortgages. Jesse focused on underwriting distressed and performing CRE loans as well as strategy and analysis in connection with distressed debt workouts.
Before joining LNR, Jesse worked in the Investment Banking Division of Bear Stearns in their New York office where he focused on valuation and financial analysis in support of the firm’s M&A advisory platform in the Real Estate, Gaming, Lodging, Retail, and Healthcare industry groups.
Jesse holds a Master of Science in Real Estate Development from Columbia University and a Bachelor of Science in Economics with concentrations in Finance and Legal Studies from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania where he graduated magna cum laude.
